Prom information 2026

Prom season is upon us!  This year’s prom will be held at the Lumber Exchange in Minneapolis on Saturday, May 16 from 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. We hope your student will have the opportunity to participate in this night full of memories!

Continuing this year, students will purchase their tickets through EduTrak using the following website: https://district279.epaytrak.com/login.aspx. This is the same site that is used to register for activities. Families will need to make sure they are registered with EduTrak early to purchase prom tickets online. Once students have purchased their tickets online, they will bring the receipt to the ticket booth in the cafeteria during all three lunches to get their ticket for the dance. While the hope is that all students will pay through EduTrak, we do understand that is not always possible. If cash is the option, please come to the ticket booth to purchase tickets. Tickets are $45.00 per person and go on sale during all three lunches beginning Monday, April 20. Students who are on the fine list will not be able to purchase a ticket until their fine has been taken care of.  

Students who wish to bring a guest from another building may do so but will need to fill out the PROM GUEST form and return to Mrs. Kallevig by Tuesday, May 12. Tenth grade students may attend the dance only if they are asked by an upper classman student. No one over the age of 20 will be admitted into the dance. The dance is not open to 9th grade students. Students will need their ticket and student/picture ID and must arrive no later than 9:00 p.m. to be admitted to the dance.

Park Center’s prom is an experience that creates lifetime memories for our students.  Because we want this night to be successful and special for everyone attending, Park Center has developed a set of positive expectations for prom behavior.  We know how important your child is so we are asking for your help in encouraging them to make responsible decisions about the evening, including pre-prom and post-prom activities.  Because the safety of ALL our students is our top priority, if there is any suspicion of drug or alcohol use, there will be administrators and police officers on hand to deal with the situation and administer any tests that may need to be given. Prom is a school function; therefore, all school rules apply.  Please refer to the Park Center Prom 2026 Expectations below.

Park Center’s Junior Class Cabinet invites your student to enjoy the Lumber Exchange, dance to music from our DJ, take photos in the photo booth and enjoy appetizers and delectable desserts. Please remind your students to eat dinner prior to arriving at prom.

Prom expectations        
1.    Park Center Students and guests must have a ticket and photo ID to be admitted to prom.
2.    There will be NO admittance to the dance after 9:00 p.m. Please plan for parking time and walking to the venue. Parking and venue information will be shared at the bottom of the email. 
3.    All guests will attend Park Center Prom free of alcohol, chemicals or tobacco. If students are suspected of use, administration and police on duty will be on hand to administer any tests that need to be given.
4.    All school rules will be enforced at all dances.
5.    Once a student has been admitted to the dance, they may not leave and return to the dance. If there is something forgotten in a vehicle there will be chaperones available to accompany students to their cars. 
6.    Students are expected to dress appropriately and maintain the expectations of the school dress code.
7.    Students must leave the dance area immediately following the dance. Ride arrangements are the responsibility of the student and parents/guardians.
8.    Students on the fine list will not be allowed to purchase tickets until the fine has been paid.
