Local government leaders speak at Park Center Senior High School panel presentation

High school seniors at Park Center Senior High School (PCSH) attended a panel organized by the League of Women Voters and the school’s counseling staff April 9. Several local/regional politicians attended the event to share about their experiences running for office and serving as elected officials. 

The panelists discussed the importance of voting and of participating in our society as citizens. Panelists include:

• Samantha Vang, MN State Representative District 38B 
• Maitreya Reeder, Vice Chair of the Youth Voter Project
• Kristy Janigo, Maple Grove City Council 
• Hollies Winston, Mayor of Brooklyn Park
